Kathryn McLay is president and CEO of Walmart International, where she leads a team of some 500,000 associates serving 80 million customers per week across 18 countries. She was named president and CEO of Walmart International in fall 2023.

Prior to leading Walmart International, Kathryn was president and CEO of Sam’s Club, a members-only warehouse club and division of Walmart Inc. that employs more than 100,000 associates across 600 clubs in the United States and Puerto Rico. During her nearly four-year tenure at Sam’s, revenues grew by 43 percent to $84 billion in fiscal year 2023, and the clubs added millions of new members.

Kathryn has held a number of leadership roles at Walmart since joining in 2015 as vice president of U.S. Finance & Strategy. Her first role was driving the transformation of the Walmart U.S. business through oversight of a set of strategic, cross-functional initiatives called Legacy. In 2016, she moved to Supply Chain, where she redesigned the way product moved from supplier to shelf, created an integrated end-to-end Walmart U.S. supply chain and led operations of the imports and reverse networks. In 2018, she was named executive vice president of Neighborhood Markets for the Walmart U.S. business, where she led nearly 700 of the small-format stores across the country.

Kathryn began her career in 1992 at Deloitte as an undergraduate and worked in both internal and external audit and later at Qantas Airlines. In 2001, Kathryn joined Australian retailer Woolworths in corporate audit and completed her professional studies as a Certified Internal Auditor. Kathryn was then appointed head of audit reporting to the CEO and the audit committee chair. In 2007, she was selected as the general manager for business development and subsequently held executive leadership roles throughout Woolworths’ retail and supply chain.

She is past president and chairwoman of the Institute of Internal Auditors and also served as a board member of ECRA, an industry board comprised of retailers and suppliers.

A native of Australia, Kathryn has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Technology in Sydney.

María Teresa Arnal (commonly known as Mariate) is a senior leader with over 25 years of experience across digital technology and its application in different industries and businesses. Her last position was as Head of Latam for Stripe were she was responsible for the strategy in the region, including product development, as well as building and managing the Stripe business in Latin America. Previous to joining Stripe, she was the Managing Director for Google in Mexico, where she was responsible for the strategy and overall Google business in the country.

Her background spans from many years in ad tech in companies like Microsoft, Twitter and Google to management consulting (Booz Allen, BCG), while also starting her own company (Clarus) later sold to WPP under the Mirum network. She is passionate about how technology can help solve many of the problems in Latin America. She is also very excited about helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses and supporting women in their quest for empowerment and realizing their full potential.

Ignacio Caride was appointed Executive President and CEO of Walmart de México y Centroamérica in April 2024. Accompanied by his management team, he leads operations spanning six countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Nicaragua. As of the end of the first quarter of 2024, the company comprises over 234,000 associates, operating more than 3,900 stores and clubs, as well as 32 distribution centers in the region.

He joined Walmart de México in 2018 as Vice President of eCommerce, evolving the omnichannel shopping experience for over five million customers and members who shop daily at Bodega Aurrerá, Sam's Club, Walmart Express, and Walmart Supercenter, whether in-store, online, or via mobile devices. Additionally, he created the strategy for launching Cashi, Walmart's digital wallet, and developed new plans for credit and remittance financial solutions.

In January 2023, he took on the role of Omnichannel Operations Leader, aiming to provide comprehensive and seamless solutions for customers and members in Mexico. Additionally, he was part of the company's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council.

Before joining Walmart, Ignacio spent over 13 years at MercadoLibre.com, where he held leadership roles such as Country Manager for Colombia and Venezuela, and General Director for Mexico, achieving a successful career in the eCommerce sector.

He is also a co-founder, vice president, and board member of the Mexican Online Sales Association, AMVO, creators of Hot Sale, Mexico’s largest online sales event.

Born in Argentina, Ignacio completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School, as well as the Senior Management Program at the IPADE Business School.

CEO and co-founder of GEA since 1990. Born in Mexico City in 1958. An economist from ITAM (1984), his B.A. dissertation received first place in the Tlacaelel Consulting Award granted by International Consultants, and honors from the Banamex National Economics Award.

In 1986 he received his Master’s Degree in Economics and in 1988 advanced to Ph.D. candidacy at UCLA. In 1987-1988 he was awarded the Sloan Fellowship for research on foreign trade.

From January 2006 up to the present he is the CEO of Grupo de Economistas y Asociados (GEA), firm in which he has been partner-consultant since 1990, and where he has participated in more than 200 consulting projects.

Dr. Liz Kwo has 20+ years of experience in digital health, diagnostics, and medical management, with a focus on using data analytics to transform people’s daily lives and improve health outcomes at scale. 

Currently she is the Chief Medical Officer of Everly Health, an innovative home diagnostics company. Most recently, Dr. Kwo served as Deputy Chief Clinical Officer for Elevance (NYSE: ELV) and helped modernize disease management and care delivery for 43 million Americans. 

Prior to Elevance, Dr. Kwo started several venture backed companies as the CEO and co-founder of InfiniteMD (acquired by Consumer Medical that was acquired by Alight (NYSE: ALIT) and President and co-founder of New Pathway Education and Technology Group (acquired by EIC Education). 

Dr. Kwo is on the Board of Directors and Member of the Compensation Committee of Asensus (NYSE AMERICAN: ASXC), Chair of the Nomination, Governance and Compliance Committee of the Board of Directors of BlueWind Medical, and Chairman of the Board of Directors for ChroniSense. 

She is a practicing physician at Cambridge Health Alliance Hospital, a faculty lecturer at Harvard Medical School, and board certified in Preventive Care and Occupational Medicine. 

She earned a BA in Human Biology from Stanford University, MD from Harvard Medical School, MBA from Harvard Business School, and an MPH from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Guilherme Loureiro is Executive President and CEO of Walmart Mexico and Central America since February 2016. He started his career in Walmart in 2012, assuming the role of Executive President and CEO of Walmart Brazil in 2013. He worked for over 20 years for Unilever performing several roles in different markets including Global Head of M&A, CEO México, Global Head of Strategy, Chairman of Unilver Ventures and CFO for Americas.

Guilherme holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, a Master Degree and Doctorate in Business Administration by the Universidad Fundação Getulio Vargas in Sao Paulo and has attended the TGMP at Harvard.

Co-founder and managing partner of Jaguar Ventures, an investment fund created by Mexican e-commerce entrepreneurs dedicated to investing in Internet-based business models.

He graduated with honors in Industrial Engineering, specializing in Finance at the Technological Institute of Monterrey. He also holds a master’s degree in Business Administration and Public Administration from Stanford University. In that university, Eric was elected co-president of the Association of Latin American Students of the School of Business and Vice President of the Association of Mexican Students in Stanford.

Prior to the founding of Jaguar, Eric acquired experience in electronic commerce starting in 1999, when he opened and directed Mercado Libre Mexico. Since then he has served as executive director, investor and adviser in various Internet companies. Currently part of the advice of sites such as Aventones.com, Gaudena.com, Viajamex.com, Yaxi.mx, Conekta.io or Yogome.com. He also provides support to entrepreneurs as a mentor to Endeavor Mexico. Eric Pérez-Grovas worked in the Strategic Consulting department of the companies McKinsey & Co. and Bain & Co. In these firms he collaborated in various strategic planning projects for companies in Mexico, the US and South America. In addition to his consulting experience.

Karthik Raghupathy is the Head of Strategy and Investor Relations at PhonePe. He has also led PhonePe's Consumer Payments business, Analytics, and Operations functions.

Karthik has over 15 years of experience driving tech-enabled transformation in the Financial Services sector. He began his career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, serving banking clients in the United States and subsequently held leadership roles with Standard Chartered Bank and United Overseas Bank in Singapore.

Karthik received his Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, and Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Viridiana Ríos is a Mexican academic and expert in public policy analysis. She is an instructor at Harvard Summer School, and a prominent political analyst for the European newspaper El País, and the Mexican newspaper Milenio. 

Dr. Ríos has been visiting assistant professor at Harvard University, Purdue University, and fellow at The Wilson Center for International Scholars. She was also the CEO of Dateras, an association that uses code to promote strategic analysis, and of México ¿cómo vamos?, a think tank specializing in the analysis of the Mexican economy. 

Her most recent book “No es normal. The rigged game that fuels Mexican inequality and how to change it” [in Spanish] was awarded the Latin American Leadership Award by The Global School of Social Leaders in Vienna. Likewise, Viridiana was selected as a "young global leader" by the World Economic Forum in 2020. 

Viridiana holds a Ph.D. in government from Harvard University, and executive leadership education from Harvard Business School and INSEAD.

Tom currently serves as Senior Vice President of Last Mile Delivery for Walmart U.S. In this role he has responsibility for developing and managing Walmart’s last mile delivery ecosystem which includes thirdparty delivery providers, Walmart’s Spark driver platform, electric vans, autonomous vehicles, and drones. In addition, Tom has responsibility for Walmart’s delivery and Express Delivery service, which is available in more than 3,000 stores, and In Home delivery, available in select cities. He is the 2020 recipient of the prestigious Sam M. Walton Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Prior to his role in Last Mile Delivery, Tom oversaw the implementation and growth of Walmart’s Online pickup and delivery business across the 3,500+ locations currently activated.

Tom began his Walmart career with Asda, our UK subsidiary, and has held a wide number of leadership roles across Central England before transitioning to the Asda Home Office where he worked in Central Retail Operations supporting teams running Communications, Work Force Management, Asset Protection, Retail Operations and Online Grocery.

In 2013, Tom moved to the U.S. to work as Development Coordination Director in our Walmart International segment where he had responsibility for supporting various teams across Strategy, Real Estate, M+A and Private Brands before localizing in our Walmart U.S. business as Senior Director. In this role, Tom helped build the foundation for Central Operations before expanding his responsibilities to Supercenters and promoting to Vice President leading teams for simplification, Walmart Academies activity management and associate technology.

Tom Holds a first‐class degree in Geography from Loughborough University, England and currently lives in Northwest Arkansas.

Venessa Yates is Walmart’s Senior Vice President & General Manager of Walmart+. She previously held positions in Operations, Product Development, Sourcing, Merchandising, and Strategy with responsibilities spanning multiple countries including Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia. She has enjoyed a career of developing and implementing customer and member strategies for leading global retailers including Walmart, Woolworths, and ALDI. 

Venessa holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of New England’s School of Economics, Business and Law, where she majored in Marketing and Human Resource Management. She currently lives in Bentonville with her husband Hall and their dog, Matilda and cat, Winston. Originally from Australia, Venessa has a love for the great outdoors, travel, and adventure.

• The Board of Directors is comprised only by statutory members.
• Members are appointed each year by the General Ordinary Shareholders’ Assembly.
• Independent directors should make up a minimum of 25% of the total amount; currently, 45% of all Directors are independent.
• Minority shareholders, whose shares represent a minimum of 10% of owners equity for the company, have the right to choose a Director, who may only be removed when the other Board members are also removed.
